The Budding Chef’s Club understands that sometimes people get ill, and may occasionally be too unwell to attend a session. We regret that we are unable to administer medication, prescribed or otherwise, unless you have given us written permission to do so.

In most cases, we leave the decision as to whether your child should attend to your own discretion. However, in accordance with advice issued by Public Health England, there are some instances where we would ask you or your child not to attend.

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Diarrhoea and vomiting illness – until there have been 48 hours clear of symptoms

  • ·Chicken Pox – until all vesicles have crusted over

  • ·Threadworms – treatment is recommended prior to attending a session

To check whether an illness or infection would prevent attendance at a session, please read the “Guidance on Infection Control in Schools and other Childcare settings” produced by Public Health England, at:

We ask that you inform us of non-attendance due to sickness or illness as soon as is reasonably possible. Please see our Contact Us page for how to do this.

In the rare event a session needs to be cancelled due to staff sickness and there are no suitable temporary staff available, a refund of that session or an alternative session will be offered to you. We will inform you as soon as we can by email or text. We often make announcements on social media, so please like or follow us to stay up to date.
