We aim to provide all our Budding Chefs with fun, happy, safe, positive and stimulating sessions, in which they can become confident in their abilities to cook. We hope that our Budding Chefs use their session time in a positive way; forging new friendships, learning new skills, encouraging and supporting each other, and creating delicious recipes to take home to share with family.
Bullying is an unacceptable behaviour, used by a group or a person that is generally repeated over time to intentionally hurt another group or person emotionally or physically. The impact of bullying can prevent a child or adult feeling happy, knock their confidence and self-esteem, perhaps even prevent them from doing something they enjoy – like coming to the club.
Bullying will not be tolerated.
We are proud of our commitment to the health and safety of children in our care, and any known incidents of bullying will be investigated and appropriate measures taken.
Any concerns regarding bullying should be reported to a member of staff promptly to enable us to deal with the problem as soon as possible. We will keep you updated about what we have done to address your concerns.
Should we see any form of bullying, or any bullying is reported to us, we will take the following steps;
In the first instance, your child and any others involved will be spoken to privately and reminded of our club rules. We will make a record of “both sides” and record information to report to the parents of the child(ren) involved at the end of the session.
In the second instance, we will ask to speak to you about your child’s behaviour privately after the session, and decide together any future sanctions, in an attempt to change the behaviour.
If the behaviour continues after this, to protect other children and ensure the fun learning environment for all continues, we will have no choice but to exclude your child from any future sessions, and no refund will be due to you.
